Can someone please hook me up with the pathophysiology/relatioship between obesity and insulin resistance?? Thank you in advance :)
insulin resistance occurs when the receptors inside the cell stop responding to the inulin. This causes hyperglycemia and further causes hyperinsulemia. However links between obesity & insulin resistance is complex & controversial
Great Response @Abhisar!
Thanx @BellaNina865 :)
thank u very much... :) hahahahahha @complex and controversial...that controversey was the reason why i asked this question, but yeah, am satisfied with the answer.. :)
@mphetang i knw, but different resources have there own view. If u like i can say what i know
yes please go ahead... :)
There is ongoing research to find out correct sequence of incidences in insulin resistance related obesity. Probably one of them arises first, and tends to cause the other; or that insulin resistance and excess body weight might arise independently as a consequence of a third factor, but end up reinforcing each other. But it is often seen that both are present simultaneously in patients diagnosed. Therefore some doctors also consider obese people at higher risk of insulin resistance !
So in nutshell it is not clearly known what causes what, but it is for sure that both are often seen together
awww...get it...thanx once more... (:
\(\Huge\text{Anytime !}\) \(\huge\ddot\smile\)
do u have an idea on my latest question please??? :P
