A Venn diagram is made up of two or more overlapping circles. It is used in mathematics to show relationships between sets of numbers. In language arts instruction, Venn diagrams are useful for examining similarities and differences in characters, stories, and poems. A Venn diagram with two circles is shown below. The overlapping area is 208 cm2. Find the total writing area within the diagram. Use 3.14 for pi . VennDiagram 400.95 cm2 437.11 cm2 645.11 cm2 853.11 cm2

|dw:1400340920304:dw| i could see this being done by graphing thier equation

OpenStudy (amistre64):

im thinking way to hard for this .... the area of A + area of B - area AnB = total area

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@amistre64 That's not right.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

of course its right .... prove its not

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's not even an option. I did, 11.3 +12= 23.3. Then 23.3 - 203= 179.7. Incorrect as it is not an option.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

|dw:1400341651198:dw| area A = 1+2 area B = 2+3 area A+B = 1+2+2+3, which means we are +2 heavy area A+B-AnB = (1+2) + (2+3) - 2
