OpenStudy (anonymous):

is a15 the last term of the sequence>

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, a15 is the last term! Would you like me to give you the multiple choice options to guide your thought-process?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the 41st term of the arithmetic sequence where a1 = 17 and a15 = -39 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oops sorry wrong paste...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tablets suck sometimes...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Select one: A. -147 B. -143 C. -139 D. -135

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait how can a15 be the last term when they r asking for the 41st term xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hehehehe *whispers* "Magic."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's -143

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im getting B by using the formula an=a+(n-1)xd first find d by plugging the values an is -39 and a is 17 n is 15 so u get d as -4 now take the equation again but this time you are finding an so then the n is 41 so u get B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nice magic XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

turns out it wasnt the last term XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

woah woah there ;) I'm detecting some mild sass? Ok well sass master would you mind helping me since you seem to know everything?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you both by the way. Senioritis has hit full-blown.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol sure thing xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not that good in maths but these r easy for me :p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

at*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll close this question so that I can open a new one and give you more medals! ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol yay ;)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh pshhh you are amazing at math!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You're welcome. Luckily for me my girlfriend took pre-calculus in college last semester and I saw some of this stuff in Differential Equations

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okie then question xD
