Which is a solution to the equation y = 5x - 6 ?   A. (3, 21)   B. (4, 2)   C. (5, 35)   D. (6, 24)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Plug in 3 for x, and see if y is 21. Plug in 4 for x, and see if y is 2. Do this step for each of the points, and you'll see which are the solutions

ok thanks its b

|dw:1400374041428:dw| it's not b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Try it for D and see what you get

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It looks to me the answer is D. y= 5x - 6 Now figure out the X, if we go with D the X will be 6. 5 x 6 is 30. 30-6 is 24 Y is 24 also. Get it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes I get it now
