A force acts on a wall.

OpenStudy (doc.brown):

How much force is acting horizontally on the wall?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1400382952261:dw| is not given this value of theta?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@doc.brown

OpenStudy (doc.brown):

Exactly. I figure \(\sqrt{11^2+7^2}=13\) and 13:7::200:x

OpenStudy (doc.brown):

\[\frac{7}{13}=\frac{x}{200}\]\[x=107N\] Does that seem right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In fact i did'nt get this rule... i had solved the examples by resolving the force vector in their components..

OpenStudy (doc.brown):

@Loser66 is this right?

OpenStudy (loser66):

I don't get it either
