Akron is greek for peak, or edge. Phobos is greek for fear. Acrophobia, fear of heights. Science!

phobos = fear It's where the suffix -phobia comes from. Arachnophobia is fear of Arachnids (spiders) Agoraphobia is fear of Ayopa (open spaces) Lepidopterophobia is fear of Butterflies.
