Which of these may be affected by solar storms? automobile production microwave speed radio signals thunderstorm patterns

OpenStudy (doc.brown):

Solar storms can cause electromagnetic radiation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you sure?

OpenStudy (doc.brown):

How about this. Unless you are making cars on the sun a storm won't affect automobile production. Microwaves are low frequency light waves. They travel at the speed of light. Always. The sun is a miasma of incandescent plasma, with free electrons moving across vast spaces. The movement of electrons, any lepton really, through space create electromagnetic waves. Thunderstorms are collections of water particles with electrically charged regions. Solar storms may have a small effect on them but not in any kind of predictable or, more importantly, measurable way.
