input(x) goes into the equation y=2x-4 to get the output(y) for example the first input is 6 to get the output you put 6 in the place of x and solve so...y=2(6)-4 y=12-4 y=8 so when the input is 6, using the function rule, the output is 8

ok so the second input is 2 so you do y= 2(2)-4 y=4-4 y=0 but what about the last one i dont under stand the 4
