Convert (2,210degrees) to regular form?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (ranga):

To convert (r, \(\theta\)) to (x,y) use the formula: \(x = r\cos(\theta)\); \(x = r\sin(\theta)\) Here \(r = 2; \ \ \theta = 210 \ degrees\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't have a graphics calculator.

OpenStudy (ranga):

The second one should be \(y = r\sin(\theta)\). You don't need a graphics calculator here as there is no drawing involved. Just a calculator with trig functions. You can always use the online calculator such as the Google Calculator if you don't have trig functions in your calculator.

OpenStudy (ranga):

But actually you don't even need a calculator for this problem.

The answer is B, thank you.

Correct. You are welcome.
