ACID-BASE COLOR INDICATOR LAB HELP! (Determining a color indicator)
For my AP Chemistry final exam project, my teacher gives each lab pair a different color indicator and our job is to figure out which one we have based on the chart full of color indicators he's given us. I have tried using the pH meter to measure the pH whenever it changes to a new color and right now we're able to narrow the list down to 6 color indicators. But they all pretty much have the same pH range (0.0 or 0.2 - 1.8 or 2.4) and changes the same colors in those ranges (yellow to blue). Right now I need to figure out which one I have but I need 5 pieces of evidence. We are allowed to use titration, buffer, spectrometer and pH meter. But this is as far as I can get and now I'm lost on what I'm doing and I don't know how to narrow it down to one. That's all our teacher gives us, we have to come up with our own procedures. So please help me and suggest me some hints to keep going in this project because right now both me and my partner are lost on what we're doing. Thank you
