In which of the following spheres of Earth is most carbon stored long-term? a. Atmosphere b. Biosphere c. Cryosphere d. Geosphere I have a good guess, but a second opinion would be most helpful.
What is your guess, and what are the reasons for it?
A good way to do these problems would be, to google all of the definitions or read about all of them in your book, so when you have similar questions, you'll know which one is correct :)!
pretty sure it should be the geosphere as it contains plenty of CO2 and methane as well and I think even more in various minerals (definitely alot in various carbonates). Obviously I'm overlooking oil and such but I'm fairly certain the ratio of inorganic to organic carbon on erath is tremendous.
Sorry, haven't seen this in a while. It is indeed the geosphere.
