What is the output when two input values of 1 enter an OR gate? (Points : 1) A)1 B)0 C)2 (1 plus a carry of 1) D)none of the above

@Loser66 @eliassaab

OpenStudy (aravindg):

Do you know the truth table of OR gate?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Truth Table @AravindG

OpenStudy (aravindg):

Yes? Do you know it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Kinda. My teacher did not really go over it.

OpenStudy (aravindg):

Okay think of it like a parallel resistance circuit.

OpenStudy (aravindg):

For an input of 0 and 0 we get a 0 value since both parallel parts do not take any current. Hence output is 0. For an input of 1,0 we get output as it is just necessary for current flow in a single path for bulb to glow. So output is 1 Same as in case of 0,1 we get output 1. For input 1,1 Current flows in both paths. Hence bulb will surely glow. So the output is 1.

So the answer is just a?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@AravindG

OpenStudy (aravindg):

Yep :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay one more q

It would be a good idea to post your questions separately.
