if TRAP is an isosceles trapezoid, what is the value of x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6 is not correct. I tried doing 4x+12=2x and apparently thats not the correct equation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think you need to multiply those terms by 2. Because you have both sides are the same and the other two are the same. And the inner angle of a trapezoid is 360 So it would be like this: 2(4x+12)+2(2x)=360

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And you get x=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay. So it will always equal 360?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If it has 4 sides. The formula of a regular shape would be like this if you want to know the sum of theinner angles: (n-2)*180, where n is the number of sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So a triangle would have: (3-2)*180=180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, I got 28. I'll see if that works. And thanks for the info! That makes more sense.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohh, it doesn't matter if it is regular or not. It is just for a polynomial I remember now XD. You are welcome
