Which of the following is the solution of log x - 30.001 = -3 ? Choose one answer. a. x = 5 b. x = 7 c. x = 13 d. x = 15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solve for x using algebra, you can do the same thing to the left side of the equation that you do to the right. So what would you do to the left to get rid of the -30.001 and the log?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\log x - 30.001 = - 3\]

no idea... I'm not really trying to understand this I just need to pass this test with an 85 to graduate in two weeks

That's not listed as one of the answers though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is not the answer you still have to get rid of the log to get x by itself

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When i did the problem out it resulted in a very large number so i believe that there is an error and that the log was actually meant to be an Ln

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because to get rid of a log you have to raise 10 by both sides which results in |dw:1400561058142:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think the equation isn't coming across correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

By using Ln instead we get:|dw:1400561134934:dw|
