when gregor mendel crossed true breeding tall plants with true-breeding short plants, why was it impossible to observe segregation

It was so because allele for tallness T is dominant over that of dwarfness t and thus when he crossed between TT and tt he got every plant having genotype Tt which in turn had phenotype tall. Thus it was impossible to observe segregation
