Find the area of the front face of the I (double it since there's also the back face)
Middle one should be 1x1 not 2x2. So the front face is 5x2 + 5x2 + 1x1... double it to get the back as well. So the front face was 10+10+1=21. The hard part is keeping track of all the other pieces, and it's not easy to show them all here, so you'll just have to try to follow: very top part = 5x2 = 10 the five side parts (theres 5 side pieces total, all are 2x2) = 5x2x2 = 20 Remember you have to double both those too, those are only one side of the I...but lets just double it all at the end to make it easier. Front face+top part+five side parts = 21+10+20 Just double that number. Shoot....the middle one of the front face was 2x1 so the front face is 22. 22+10+20 = 52, double that is 104 and hopefully i haven't missed anything else. don't forget cm^2
