Help with two questions? http://prntscr.com/3l2f6h
hint : \(\sec \theta = \frac{1}{\cos \theta}\)
hehe
I honestly have no idea how to do this my teacher doesnt teach me these things :|
Remember your trig ratios and triangles?
these are extension to SOH-CAH-TOA
Using ganeshies hint we have \[\frac{ 1 }{ \cos \theta } \times \cos \theta =~?\]
just 1 then?
Yup
because cosθ cancels out right?
\[\csc \theta = \frac{ hyp }{ opp }\] \[\sec \theta = \frac{ hyp }{ adj }\] \[\cot \theta = \frac{ adj }{ opp }\]
\[\frac{ 1 }{ \cos \theta } \times \cos \theta = ~ \frac{ \cos \theta }{ \cos \theta } \implies 1\]
Just a heads up \[\cos ^{-1} x \neq \frac{ 1 }{ \cos x }\] I see people mess that kind of stuff up all the time.
Ok i will try not to mess that one up o.o but how does that help me answer my question?
It doesn't lol, just letting you know, anyways have you attempted the second question?
Sadly no, because like i said earlier i have no idea how to do this. I havent even tried the first :\
