OpenStudy (abhisar):

Hello @violetcateyes ! I am sure u r acquainted with the term isolation or reproductive isolation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh... yup

OpenStudy (abhisar):

ok now lets c, 1. Temporal isolation: different times of reproduction 2. Behavioral isolation: different habits of the same species 3. Geographical/Habbitat isolation: species are separated by natural barriers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok Thank You for helping me ! :)

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Behavioural isolation: An isolating mechanism in which two allopatric species do not mate because of differences in courtship behavior.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Pls chk the behavioural isolation in my last reply. Previous one is wrong. That one is for habitat isolation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank you

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Anytime !

It doesn't have to be a natural barrier, it can be a road. Think of thinks like snails. A large road could completely cut off populations.
