p^2+14p-15=0
I just wanna know the answer lol
I got p=-15 and p=1
but im not sure
what about (t+2)^2=4 ?
I got t=-4 and t-0, but im not the best at math
p^2+15p-p-15=0 p(p+15)-(p+15)=0 (p-1)(p+15)=0
p=1,-15
I met t=-4 and t=0
x^2-7x+12=0 ?
do u know any website that will just give u the answer for these questions ?
x^2-4x-3x+12=0 (x-4)(x-3)=0 x=,3
yeah, someone jus got nasty with me for posting it lol http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=+%28t%2B2%29%5E2%3D4+%3F
thanks angelbaby_2434
but it show how to do it to and it helped me so hope it help =)
okay ..um ...what is the square of the sum of a number and 3 is 16...but there is 2 solutions
is that the whole question?
yea that's the whole question
Lets call the number we are looking for "x". Your statement in math symbols would be: (x+3)^2 = 16 square (x+3): x^2+6x+9=16 subtract 16 from each side: x^2+6x-7=0 factor: (x+7)(x-1)=0 Now either (x+7)=0 OR (x-1)=0 So x=-7 OR 1
(x+3)^2 = 16 (x+3)(x+3) = 16 x^2 + 6x + 9 = 16 after subtracting 16 from each side you get... x^2 + 6x - 7 = 0 (x+7)(x-1) = 0 so either (x+7) = 0, or (x-1)=0 x+7 = 0 x+7-7 = 0-7 x = -7 or x-1 = 0 x-1+1 = 0+1 x = 1 so... x = -7 or x = 1
IDK is that right?
