How does the Dna molecules select protiens of specific traits in an egg? I mean that the selection process is too selective, mutations happen only when there is a minute change in that selection process.

Hii @Sourav12084 ! Welcome to openstudy.com. Kindly clear what do you want to know so that i could be able to help u better

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, in the topic heredity, and evolution, from one generation to another, how are the characteristics of the father and mother shown by the offspring too? I mean the mechanism by which this occurs?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

ohkay , See human beings are diploid i.e they have 46 chromosomes i.e one pair of 23 chromosomes each

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Father and mother produce gametes (spermatozoa and ovum) which are haploid i.e have only 23 chromosomes

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Now these gametes fuse to form a haploid zygote which further develops into a new born

OpenStudy (abhisar):

So the point is, new born got both the characters of father and mother

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Is it clear or u need more explanation ? @Sourav12084

OpenStudy (abhisar):
