how to find the square root of a number?
calculator
|dw:1400667841769:dw|
|dw:1400667880985:dw|
how to find "x"?
seeing as this is a side angle side triangle and we have a 90 degree triangle there could be many ways to solve it but the most convenient in this case is the formula \[a^2 + b^2 = c^2\]
\[\sqrt{x}=x^{\frac{ 1 }{ 2 }}\] \[\log x ^{\frac{ 1 }{ 2 }}= \frac{ 1 }{ 2}\log x\] So you can get sqrt x from the log I don't think there is an analytical way. This method involves tables/calculator - so you might as well use a calculator to get the root in the first place
Where c represents the hypotenuse
\[10^{2}=100\]\[7^{2}=49\]\[100+49=149\]\[\sqrt{149}=12.20\]
How did you do the last part @smosh
or how do I do it with a calculator??
your answer is correct.
Type 149 in calculator and press the sqrt sign
or type the square root sign then press 149
or, you could put sqrt(149) in Google, and it'll do it for you.
what is the square root sign?
\[\sqrt{}\]
oh sweet thanks <3 the medal goes to smosh, sorry all
On computer's calculator.
lol wow! putting in the extra work lol.
It's no problem. I can do pictures like that very fast.
ty vm :)
how dod you do it? snipping tool?
I used prt scrn, and pasted it to paint. Then, I just selected the part of the picture I wanted, and hit crop.
snipping tool is much faster, you should try it, type in snip in the search bar
I'm also good at messing with the appearance of SS's on my computer. Just a sec.
I could have even made it look like I was a mod, but that takes more effort.
lol damn your good.
Thanks, I've just picked up things while being bored and sitting in front of a computer.
nice lol, well anyway i'm going back to doing my work thanks again.
