Ok so, I understand Redox reactions have to do with the transfer of electrons but I am puzzled on this question. The question is Chris is studying oxidation and reduction reactions. Which of the following could she use as an example of an oxidation reaction? The options are formation of atp from glucose during respiration, formation of carbohydrates from carbon dioxide during photosynthesis, formation of oxygen from water molecules during respiration. Can anyone help me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its formation of oxygen from water molecules during respiration...because if you heat the water molecules during respiration the two elements that make up water (h20) will separate due to the heat causing a oxidation reaction.

formation of atp from glucose

@lily222 I think You should read Oxidative phosphorylation

@TikiKatie can i know where this question was asked
