A graph is translated according to the following rule. Describe the translation. (x, y) → (x, y +3) A. The graph is translated 3 units to the left. B. The graph is translated 3 units up. C. The graph is translated 3 units down. D. The graph is translated 3 units to the right.

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Well we know it if is affecting the 'y' ....it is either going to be up....or down... Since this is adding a number....(3) we can gather it will be a shift up 3 units

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Because imagine we have the point (0,0) |dw:1400709043794:dw|

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

If our translation says....x stays the same...but add 3 to the y...we now have (0 , 3) which will be: |dw:1400709085473:dw| there now

B...Up?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):
