Campsite #1, lookout tower, and campsite #2, form a central angle within the circle. If the angle formed is 120°, describe the relationship between the angle and the arc it intercepts. You must show all work to receive credit. So, I believe what it is asking is what is the relationship between an angle and the arc it intercepts. Please help!!!

OpenStudy (imstuck):

The measure of a central angle of a circle is equal to the arc it intercepts. If you named the center of the circle O, for example, and the two towers A and B, the measure of angle O is equal to the measure of arc AB. The arc is 120. As long as the angle is central and not inscribed.

@IMStuck Okay, so the measure of the central angle (120 degrees) is equivalent to the arc it intercepts?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The measure of a central angle is equivalent to the arc it intercepts. Therefore, the central angle and the arc it intercepts are similar because they have the same measure (120 degrees) That's what I put for anyone wondering about this :)
