I don't know what your method is, but this is my way of doing it. Since we know that if two figures are similar, they share a like pattern. Look at the diameter of both the large and the small circles. Tell me those diameters.

The big circle is 12 and the small circle is 6

Do you notice a pattern there already? If not, then try out the diameter.
