Match the graph to it's equation. The answer is b, but how do I arrive at that answer?

Oh, ok. The answer is b, I forgot to put that in the original question, I just don't know how to get that answer.

just pick a point on the ellipse that you can identify the coordiantes, like (-2, 1) then plug that in to the choices and see which one is true
