(Medal for correct answers.) Which word in the sentence is a gerund? Winning isn't important, or so the fans are saying since our loss. A. saying B. winning C. important D. loss

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B

OpenStudy (hugsnotughs):

Remember a gerund is a form that is derived from a verb but that functions as a noun, in English ending in -ing. So we can cross out C and D. Now, out of A and B, which one is usually a verb, but by adding the "-ing" is now a noun?

Hint: I THINK @idiot3390 is right. ;-)
