OpenStudy (abhisar):

well i have never seen a mice 'freezng"... i hav always seen them running..although it can be the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's either run away or freeze but I go for run away @Abhisar

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

by the way, this is what I ended with when I searched google

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"they run, if you see a school of mice run to a direction, follow them and you'll be safe."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (abhisar):

It can be freeze

OpenStudy (abhisar):

it is a form of deception

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

or mimicry....to deceive predators and make them think that he is dead...but i m nt sure if mouse shows such behaviour....!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@hhelpplzzzz will decided

OpenStudy (abhisar):

.......... @mrdoldum

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Abhisar Most prey animals immediate response is to freeze or flee. Many smaller animals that live in cover will freeze and hope to avoid detection. Some animals though, particularly animals that have vision based on movement will flee. Things like turkeys just take off at the first sign of any trouble.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is another question that is really not answerable. It would depend on both the situation and the species on whether or not it would freeze, flee, hiss, etc. Many snakes will hiss, as will lizards, and a few mammals. There is no actual wrong answer in the options.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

no but is it context with mouse

OpenStudy (abhisar):

*it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Abhisar Again though, it would depend on where the mouse was. In nature, it would likely freeze until it became clear that the threat was not going to pass them buy, unless they were right next to, say, the hole. In a open place like rock glades or in a house, they will flee to cover.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Ohkayyy..thnx a ton @mrdoldum

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Abhisar These things are really way too complicated to be asking questions like that. Most animals will "freeze" in a manner of speaking, until they can assess the threat level. At that point, the animals will use what ever defenses they have (I am including running away as a defense).

OpenStudy (abhisar):

oh yes i agree
