Simpson's Rule assumptions Hi, if anyone is familiar with Simpson's Rule, I have just finished doing a question about it in my homework and now I need to write assumptions that I have made. I have said so far that it was assumed the functions being evaluated were continuous otherwise the area would not be able to be evaluated. I'm not sure what else to add? Thanks :)

Well I wouldn't say that, I think you could evaluate a discontinuous one, you'd just have to be careful otherwise you might get a much worse approximation.
