explain how will you calculate - 1. acceleration 2.distance traveled by a velocity-time graph of the body

OpenStudy (kainui):

What is acceleration? What's your best guess if you don't know. Separately: If you're going 30 miles per hour and you travel for an hour how far have you gone? How about if you travel for only half as long? You'll only go half as far right? So how far will you have gone if you go 30mph for half an hour?

In a velocity time graph you'll always have a function like v=u+gt, not necessarily this will be the function. sometimes the functions can be like v=t^3+ct^2. anyway, if you know calculus, then differntiate the function once and you'll get acceleration. for the distance travelled part, write the velocity as dx/dt...and then separate the variables and integrate...you'll get x.
