well, i don't know a whole lot on these subjects, but... all of these are groups of people that left to explore the new land in search of a better life and/or new riches. The French and the spanish as well as some of the british in england came to the americas in search of gold, while the other british were pilgrims forced out of the country by the brits already there. the pilgrims reshaped the americas when they lived there trying to establish a civilization.
