OpenStudy (meilendurcer):

Which graph best represents the function y =sqrt x+4 attaching them

OpenStudy (meilendurcer):

This is the equation \[\sqrt{x+4}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the equation has a y-intercept at x = 0 so plug in x = 0 in it to get \[y=sqrt(0+4)=2\]so the graph should intercept the y-axis at y = 2. Out of these graphs only one of them does that, can you tell which one?

OpenStudy (meilendurcer):

C??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (meilendurcer):

great!
