OpenStudy (theeric):

"equal and opposite" Forces come in pairs! The force is between two objects. When an object exerts a force, that force is exerted back on it. This is "equal and opposite" for short, because Each force has a corresponding force that is EQUAL in magnitude and OPPOSITE in direction. So, while Earth pulls you down, you actually pull it up with the same magnitude of force. Just... Your small compared to the Earth... So, you feel it, but you don't really see the Earth moving around much for just you. It is affected, just hardly.
