It increases between 0 and pi/2, decreases between pi/2 and pi (the period of this function is pi, not 2pi anymore), there is a max at  (pi/4, 1), and a min at (3pi/4, -1).  Really hope that helps.  Do you know how to figure the period of the double angle?

how woud you put that into math notation ? if it increases every pi/2 then decreses for the other pi/2, since there is infinte decreasing and increasing ? same for the max and min ? that the big problem im having .. and yes this did help alot thank you
