Finding the cross product of two vectors always yields a perpendicular vector, to start off.
Do you know how to find the determinant of a matrix?

Set up the 3x3 matrix, with the first vector in the middle row, and the second vector int he last row. Special vectors i, j, and k go on top. These allow us to get a resultant vector.
