(Medal for correct answers) Amber went on a road trip over winter vacation. She recorded how far she had traveled in the table below in relation to the number of hours she had driven. What is the rate of change for the information in the table?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Time (hours) 5 9 13 17 21 Distance (miles) 325 585 845 1,105 1,365

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. 130 miles per hour B. 65 miles per hour C. 32.5 miles per hour D. 69 miles per hour

OpenStudy (anonymous):

rate of change is \[\frac{ \Delta Y }{ \Delta X}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Seeing as you have per hour in your answers you will want to use 2 of the data points and set the distance as y and the hours as x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[Rate= \frac{ (Y_2-Y_1) }{ (X_2-X_1) }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use any of the the first distance as your Y1 and the second distance as Y2 and similarly the first hour for X1 and second hour for X2

Thanks!
