ASAP HELP ME PLEASE The endpoints of one diagonal of a rhombus are (0, -8) and (8, -4). If the coordinates of the 3rd vertex are (1, 0), what are the coordinates of the 4th vertex? (7, -12) (7, -8) (-8, -4) (-4, -12)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

See rhombus is a parallelogram hence the diagonals of the rhombus here must bisect each other

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so first find the midpoint of (0, -8) and (8, -4) the mid point is (0+8)/2 ,(-8-4)/2 (4,-6) Now (4,-6) is also the midpoint of (1,0) and the 4th vertex

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 4th vertex is (7, -12)

thanks!
