So we are given a table of values recording varying volumes (L) for different levels of pressure (atm). However, the result is not a linear equation, so I was told to take the equation of the inverse volume. I ended up with y=0.0427x-0.0011. Using that equation, I am supposed to solve for- A.) Volume at 1.1 atm. B.) Pressure at 75.0 L. I found the answers for both...my only question is, how many significant figures do I use for the answers? Would it be 2 for A, and 3 for B?

OpenStudy (jfraser):

yes, you'd use the same number of sigfigs in your answer as the data you're given to work with
