What does the word part gam mean?

OpenStudy (ashleyisakitty):

"Part gam" or just "gam". Gam can mean a woman's leg or a get-together. never heard of "part gam".

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just gam. as a word part though like a suffix or prefix, I'm not sure which .

OpenStudy (ashleyisakitty):

You're right it can be used as a suffix or prefix. Some of the words seem random, but others have a theme of mixtures?

OpenStudy (ashleyisakitty):

OKAY. It comes from -"gamo" which means joined or united

OpenStudy (ashleyisakitty):

That was surprisingly hard to find out about.

OpenStudy (ashleyisakitty):

comes from greek "gamo" which means marriage.
