yes I thought I already did one of these today, wait a minute please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the smaller polygon (triangle) is half the size of the larger one, look at each side and see how it measures against the corresponding one, can u see that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u need to close the other open question because it is the same and u might get into trouble

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dilation is widening, this is the opposite, narrowing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you sure u attahced the right picture, do u wanna check it again please, because this picture is the same as the older one and we already answered it with SkullPatrol and said its D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hahha that's why i said close the other question because douple posting can get u into trouble

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

really how so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you refer to the code of conduct I think I saw it there, but nevermind let me check this one now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok @kx2bay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok this is dilation u were right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now let me show u how i got the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i took one point, e.g. (1, -2) from the left figure and this corresponds to (-2, 4) in the figure on the right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what did I multiply x by to make 1 become -2 and what did I multiply y by to make -2 become 4 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 and 2 1x2=2 2x2=4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actually 1*(-2) = -2 and (-2) * (-2) = 4 so both x and y got multiplied by (-2) so the answer is C or D, which one is it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmm C would be the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Excellent! u understand why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes i actually do THANK U THANK U THANK i would so hug u if i could

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and if u picked another corner from the figure and applied this logic you'll get the same answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u can give me a cyber HUG :) xxooxx and no problems, yw
