find the equation of the line passing through the points 2,1 and parallel to the join of the points 1,3 and-3,1

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

find the slope of the line with points 1,3 and -3,1 first

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

then you know that parallel lines have the same slopes so you can plug the point 2,1 with your new found slope into the equation point slope
