Mary's test grades were 80, 92, 83, 83, and 85. Mary's teacher recorded two of her grades incorrectly. Instead of an 80, Mary's first test score should have been a 74. since the highest and lowest each changed the same direction, the median (the central number) didn't change since the most common number, 83 (the mode) didn't change, the mode stays the same to find the mean, you have to average the scores. the original scores: 80+92+83+83+85=423 so the average = 84.6 the correct scores: 72+98+83+83+85=423 so the average =84.6 Nothing changed...
