Has anyone read "Cranes" and "Thought of Hanoi"? I needed help constructing an essay by comparing and contrasting the effects of war in both stories.

I already have a few ideas like how the brothers in "thoughts of hanoi" were forced to turn to foes later in there life because of the war. Its also kind of the same this with "cranes" but with boy hood friends, with one on the peace police and one behind handcuffs so to say.
