Hi! I'm wondering where I can go to find out phylogeny and Linnaeus taxonomy information on birds for my biology project. Please help!! These arethe project directions: Classification Project In this assessment, you will categorize a group of animals by two forms of classification: phylogeny (cladistics) and Linnaean taxonomy. For phylogeny, you will create a cladogram for your groups of animals. For Linnaean classification, you will create a taxonomy chart or concept map that categorizes your species by taxa. Select from the two groups of animals listed below for your project.
1. cladogram-an increasingly branching diagram of points of genotypic relationship between organisms 2. taxonomy chart-as above, but based on phenotype 3. concept map-as above, but based on concepts The organisms on the cladogram with the fewest differences in their genes will be closest together. This is indicated by the fewest branch points between them. You may need to invent genes for pigment, digestive enzymes, eye structure - whatever - as examples to show their relatedness. Disclose your invention as an example pending genetic analysis. The organisms on the taxonomy chart which are most similar in appearance will be closest together. To start with, I'd suggest heading over to Wikipedia to find out how those different species are categorized.
Oh sorry this question is worded wrongly! My project directions to not give me any information on the birds I have to all this stuff on, I need to know there kingdom phylum species, and so on. DO you know somewhere I can go?
Wikipedia has all the information you need, just search the birds followed by the information you need. Even though teachers don't like Wikipedia they are the most organized when it comes to stuff like this.
If your teacher asks, just say you got it from a trusted website
Yean..as @alphadxg said..u need to visit some websites and gather information from it...But i prefer not to go to wikipedia because they are not completely genuine..they are written or complied only by a single person...So u better visit many other websites and collect the required information..:)
