If you solve for x in step 4, you get 0.4 If you apply 0.4 to step 1, you get 3.

I completely see no error, unless it is in step three when he had to add the 1 to the 5x and it would be completely different.
So, I really don't see an error either.
\[(2\times0.4)+(3\times0.4)+1=3\]
