find limit superior n infirior for following sequences , ,<3Yn> where Xn= {4,5,-6,7,4,5,-6,7....} Yn= {0,1,3,5,0,1,3,5.....}

OpenStudy (math&ing001):

I don't quite understand your question, are you supposed to find max(<Xn+Yn>) and min(<Xn+Yn>) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes,also for <XnYn> and <3Yn>

OpenStudy (math&ing001):

Ok, so all we need to do is find the first 4 terms of each sequence. <Xn+Yn> = {4,6,-3,12,.....} <Xn.Yn> = {0,5,-18,35,....} <3Yn> = {0,3,9,15......} Now can you identify the max and min in each sequence ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you do that? just added n multiplied?

OpenStudy (math&ing001):

Yep !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hah...
