OpenStudy (isabel☺):

The frustum of a regular pyramid 3 m high has for bases squares 1.5 m and 2 m on the edges. Find the dimensions of a similar frustum of a regular pyramid whose lower base is a square 4m on a side.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

On a side as in the entire regular pyramid is flipped over on it's side? and your calculating the base size?

OpenStudy (isabel☺):

I honestly don't understand the prob. :()

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol, well a sqaure is always on teh base of a regular pyramid so the sides would all be equal

OpenStudy (isabel☺):

u mean upper and lower?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There is no upper, frustum is a figure with the entire upper half cut off

OpenStudy (isabel☺):

can you draw me a fig.?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol think of a pyramid with the entire upper HALF cut off, and then flipped on it's side

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There are multiple answers, But i do not know which ones they are because i do not know this math, For i am only in 8th grade, i will read off teh answers and you can choose which ever you think best fits

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it is either 8 or 2.66666666667 or 5.2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I may be wrong on all those 6's but eh.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hope i helped? If not i'm sorry :/

OpenStudy (isabel☺):

|dw:1400946450455:dw| eh?

OpenStudy (isabel☺):

:D its aight Dimensions uhmm really NOT SURE of my fig.

OpenStudy (isabel☺):

aight :)

The frustum of a regular pyramid 3 m high has for bases squares 1.5 m and 2 m on the edges. Find the dimensions of a similar frustum of a regular pyramid whose lower base is a square 4m on a side. Is this part " lower base is a square 4m on a side." as in teh square 4 meters, is it squared or does it say square for another reason?

OpenStudy (isabel☺):

4 m^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know da answer to 4 m^2?

OpenStudy (isabel☺):
