how can I measure the distance between a point and a line?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In a circle.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

a point and a line ... in a circle? can you draw it up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Never mind I got it, geometry for dummies is my life saviour! haha

OpenStudy (amistre64):

still an interesting question, but that may just be my misinterpretation :)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i know how to determine the distance from a point to a line .... but have no idea what 'in a circle' means

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well maybe its just in general? I am working with circles right now? thought I had to include that but, can you tell me you're solution?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is what I got. By radius, since it also is a segment that goes from a circles center to a point on the circle.
