i get 2 answers, one negative which can be ignored and the other is 12.97 or round it to 13
OpenStudy (jewlzme17):
okay!that is an option! Thank you!
OpenStudy (anonymous):
u know how to get it tho?
OpenStudy (jewlzme17):
no, can you please explain
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I used this
[ -b +- sqrt(b2 - 4ac) ] / 2a
is that what u used too?

hmmm wait... shoot... AC is not 12...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
better delete it @jdoe0001 so it doesnt confuse her ;)
OpenStudy (jewlzme17):
Okay! thank you!
OpenStudy (anonymous):
@jewlzme17 the equation becomes
x^2 +12x -324 = 0
using the above formula "[ -b +- sqrt(b2 - 4ac) ] / 2a"
a = 1
b = 12
c = -324
substitue and find the 2 values for x ;)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
x of course is what u looking for = AB
