Which phase of meiosis is represented here? A. anaphase I B. metaphase II C. telephase II D. prophase I I have NO clue @_@

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (abhisar):

A ???

OpenStudy (abhisar):

@alphadxg

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why A?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

wait for a sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok :)

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Its D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Because in Prophase 1 chromatin threads condense to form chromosomes and the centrioles start moving towards the opp poles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok... since I have no idea what you said im gonna go with d :D

OpenStudy (abhisar):

LOL.....!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Next question will be up soon :)

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Sure bring it on man !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it's B

OpenStudy (abhisar):

How ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alpha, what do you think?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

In metaphase chromosomes are arranged on equator and also there would be spindle fibres

OpenStudy (alphadxg):

Name of Phase Description 1. Prophase I Homologous chromosomes pair up and form tetrad 2. Anaphase I Spindle fibers move homologous chromosomes to opposite sides 3. Telophase II Nuclear membrane reforms, cytoplasm divides, 4 daughter cells formed 4. Metaphase II Chromosomes line up along equator, not in homologous pairs 5. Prophase I Crossing-over occurs 6. Anaphase II Chromatids separate 7. Metaphase I Homologs line up alone equator 8. Telophase I Cytoplasm divides, 2 daughter cells are formed D is correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok cool

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Thnx @alphadxg !

OpenStudy (alphadxg):

I can answer a few questions before I go study for my tests >.>

OpenStudy (alphadxg):

@Abhisar :)
